This illustration is about the huge impact New Orleans has made on music and popmusic as a whole.

The article I got to illustrate for was packed with great stories about the blues and soul musicians who were based in the French Quarters of New Orleans.

It was also about their spiritual connection with Voodoo and Marie Laveau. A very influential woman who was a Voodoo priestess, but also a hair stylist. Marie was very well known in New Orleans, even by the political figures who sometimes asked her advice in complex political matters.
